Glam Up and Give Back at Shoppers Drug Mart Holiday Beauty Gala on November 5, 2016
Shoppers Drug Mart is spreading the holiday cheer early this year with in-store Beauty Gala events! Treat yourself to a makeover while helping other women in the community. Giving back has never looked better.
Shoppers Drug Mart stores across the country will be holding in-store Holiday Beauty Galas on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Show yourself a little love with a makeover and skin consultation. Plus there will be giveaways, samples, and special draws.
But that’s not all – you’ll be giving back to the community too! Ticket proceeds will be supporting women fighting the effects of cancer. Tickets to the Beauty Gala cost $10 each and can be purchased at your local Shoppers Drug Mart. $5 of each ticket can be redeemed toward any purchase made during the event. The remaining $5 will be donated to women’s health charities supporting women living with cancer.
Funds raised in Alberta, Atlantic Region and Prairies will support Beauty Gives Back. This initiative focuses on helping women fighting cancer to manage “The Cancer Blues”. Fighting cancer is a mental process as much as medical, but unfortunately, the emotional state of the patient often comes second. Undergoing cancer treatment can cause great emotional distress – known as “The Cancer Blues” – and therefore, affect a woman’s ability to fight and endure during the difficult times. Funds raised in Ontario, British Columbia and Yukon will support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. This foundation helps women make important decisions about their breast health – whether and when to have a mammogram. Funds will be used to develop a new interactive breast screening tool (currently in the works) that will empower women to make an informed decision about mammography. Learn more at cbcf.org.
