Beauty Gives Back: #SDMBeautyGala
I recently learned about Beauty Gives Back, and am so amazed by the work they do. It’s something we can often take for granted, how we look and feel on a daily basis. But being diagnosed with cancer and dealing with the effects of treatment can affect how a women sees herself and feels. Beauty Gives Back helps women feel beautiful again.
Shoppers Drug Mart is hosting a beauty gala on November 7 in support of Beauty Gives Back. Locations across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI, and Newfoundland will host an evening filled with skincare consultations, makeovers, free samples, and refreshments. Tickets are only $10, and the best part is $5 will go directly towards Beauty Gives Back. Guests will also get $5 towards any purchase they make during the evening.

To help raise awareness for this event, @BGBCanada is hosting a Twitter Party on Tuesday, November 3, 8-8:30pm EST. Also joining the Twitter party will be Look Good Feel Better (@LGFBCanada), and Sherry Abbott, the Director of Beauty Gives Back, and an ovarian cancer survivor.
