#DayOfChange – Ronald McDonald House

If you’re anything like me, every week you seem to get more and more change in your purse. Despite your best efforts not to collect it.

But all that change can do really good things for charities. Like the Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada.

Every year the Ronald McDonald Houses provide a home for over 20,000 families. These families have children who are being treated in a nearby hospital, and without these houses the families wouldn’t be able to stay with their kids.

October 7th is #DayofChange, encouraging all Canadians to visit their local McDonald’s and donate whatever spare change they have. And this year marks the 35th year since the first Ronald McDonald House was opened in Canada.

And if you’ve ever wondered what kind of impact your change has, to date over 290,000 children and families have used one of the 14 houses across Canada. And check out this video to really see how your change is making a difference:

Whether it’s today, or any other day of the year, why not help families by giving some of your change.
